Services - Metal Finishing & Remanufacturing
Maritec-MetPro delivers eight core metal finishing and remanufacturing services from our Greenville, South Carolina facility.

About Maritec-MetPro
Vacuum Resin Impregnation
Vacuum resin impregnation permanently seals microscopic porosity in metal castings. These voids and chasms form during the casting process of aluminum, iron, and steel. Left unsealed, they create leak paths in pressure-critical components.
Our process eliminates porosity in:
- Transmission housings
- Pump bodies
- Hydraulic manifolds
- Engine blocks
- Compressor housings
- Valve bodies
We use the latest in vacuum technology and specialized resins to penetrate and seal voids completely. This process is permanent and doesn't require re-treatment.
About Maritec-MetPro
Chemical Deoxidation
Chemical deoxidation removes rust, scale, and surface oxidation without damaging base metal. This critical process addresses and restores corroded components. This allows for serviceable condition and prepares surfaces for protective coatings.
These applications include:
- Restoring threaded connections
- Cleaning mating surfaces
- Preparing parts for coating
- Removing flash rust from storage
- Decontaminating used components
Our deoxidation process removes oxidation while preserving critical dimensional tolerances. Your parts maintain their original specifications. This matters for components where even minor material loss affects fit and function.

Industrial Parts Cleaning
Industrial parts cleaning eliminates grease, oil, scale, carbon deposits, and manufacturing residue. Clean parts accept coatings properly, assemble correctly, and function as designed.
We clean:
- Machined components before assembly
- Castings before impregnation or coating
- Used parts before remanufacturing
- Components contaminated during operation
- Parts requiring contamination-free surfaces
Proper cleaning prevents coating failure, assembly problems, and premature wear. Parts either meet cleanliness specifications or they don't. We painstakingly verify results before any parts leave our facility.
About Maritec-MetPro
Media Shot Blasting
Media shot blasting creates the proper surface profile for paint and coating adhesion. We control media type, blast pressure, and exposure time based on substrate material and coating requirements.
Our shot blasting handles a wide range of materials which includes:
- Steel components requiring anchor profile
- Aluminum parts needing texture
- Cast iron surfaces before coating
- Removal of old coatings
- Surface preparation to SSPC standards
Proper surface preparation prevents coating failures. Coatings applied to improperly prepared surfaces peel, chip, or fail prematurely. We match blast media and parameters to your specific coating system requirements.

Remanufacturing
Remanufacturing involves complete disassembly, inspection, cleaning, repair, and reassembly of industrial components. This extends equipment life to a fraction of replacement cost.
Our remanufacturing process:
- Complete teardown and inspection
- Cleaning and deoxidation
- Machining and repair of worn surfaces
- Replacement of damaged components
- Reassembly to original specifications
- Testing and verification
Lead times for new turbine components, railway parts, and industrial equipment often stretch 6-12 months. Remanufactured components typically deliver in 4-8 weeks. This matters when equipment downtime costs thousands per day.
We'll evaluate your component honestly. Some parts are beyond repair. Most aren't. We'll tell you what we can fix and what replacement makes more sense.

About Maritec-MetPro
Leak Testing
Every pressure-critical component gets leak tested before leaving our facility. We verify that vacuum impregnation, repairs, and assembly work eliminate leaks.
Our testing capabilities include:
- Pressure decay testing
- Vacuum testing
- Submerged bubble testing
- Mass spectrometer leak detection
- Custom fixtures for component-specific testing
Parts either pass specification or they don't. Failed parts get reworked or rejected. This confirms our processes worked. You receive components that meet your leak rate requirements.

Logistics & Coordination
We carefully coordinate pickup and delivery to minimize disruption to your operations. To meet this need, our logistics services handle transportation, tracking, and scheduling.
We work with:
- Local Greenville County manufacturers (same-day pickup available)
- Regional operations all across the Southeast
- National accounts requiring scheduled service
- Emergency situations requiring expedited turnaround
Manufacturing schedules simply don't wait. We understand that downtime costs money. Our logistics coordination gets components to our facility, through our processes, and back to you efficiently.

Quality Assurance
Every component receives inspection before and after processing. We document:
- Initial condition and requirements
- Process parameters and verification
- Final inspection results
- Leak test data (where applicable)
- Certification and material traceability
You receive documentation confirming work was completed to specification. This matters for quality systems, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance.
